Thank you to everyone who nominated for 'The Voscurs', Bristol's  newest awards to celebrate the work of the voluntary, community &  social enterprise sector. The longlist is up on our website  http://www.voscur.org/voscurNominations and a panel made up of a  Voscur Rep, Voscur staff member and Voscur Board member will be  shortlisting in September. The winners in each category will be  chosen by the Voscur Board from this shortlist and they will be  announced at the Voscur Annual Conference on 2 October. Watch  this space!

The Government has launched an initiative looking for Black and  mixed heritage men to take a lead in inspiring the next  generation of Black boys to achieve and succeed. THE ELDERS: WHEN WE CAME TO BRITAIN (12:30-2:30pm)

The Bristol Black Archives Partnership is  pleased to present the screening of this film by award-winning  filmmakers, Clive and Lonnie Smith (As It Is TV), which captures  the story of the Caribbean elders who came to Bristol in the  1950's and 1960's.
