Celebrate the fantastic and innovative work done by the voluntary, community and  social enterprise sector in Bristol, by nominating a person/project for a  'Voscurs'. There are five different categories including 'The Most Active  Community Activist' and 'The Most Innovative Project'. The deadline for  nominations is 31 July 2008, and the winners (who will receive a range of prizes)  will be announced at the Voscur Annual Event on 2 October 2008. *** OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERING 2009-12 GRANTS ROUND OPEN ***
The Opportunities for Volunteering (OFV) scheme aims to enable local voluntary  sector health and social care organisations in England to involve volunteers in  their work. *** NEW FREE LEGAL ADVICE LINE FOR PEOPLE FACING DISCRIMINATION ***
Avon and Bristol Law Centre is starting a discrimination advice line for people  who want advice about problems of discrimination in accessing goods, services,  facilities and housing. This line will be open between 10.00am-12.00pm every  Tuesday, starting on 22 July 2008. The number for this discrimination advice line  is 0117 916 7704. *** FINANCIAL HELP WITH TENDERING FOR PUBLIC CONTRACTS ***
Futurebuilders England has a new Tender Fund, offering three year loans of between  £3,000 and £50,000 to third sector organisations who need relatively small sums of  money to help them tender successfully for specific public service delivery  contracts.  http://www.futurebuilders-england.org.uk/content/Funding/TenderFund.aspx

*** I AM ME PROJECT CELEBRATES ITS FIRST ANNIVERSARY **
East Bristol Advice & Information Centres are celebrating the anniversary of the  first year of the I Am me project - a project set up for vulnerable people to have  their own social, self help drop in centre. The centre is currently run by 34  members and is open Monday to Friday 10am til 4pm, aiming to provide a safe a  supportive place that Disabled People can call their own and chill out. FUNDING ROADSHOW - EU FUNDING IN THE FIELD OF THIRD COUNTRY NATIONALS & REFUGEES  (9:30am-4:15pm)
Organised by Bristol City Council and South West UK Brussels Office. The aim of  the funding roadshow is to highlight funding opportunities for projects with  refugees and migrants who have already been accepted in the UK (not including  migrants from the new EU Member States such as Poland) and to discuss what kind of  projects could be developed in Bristol and in the South West in the longer term. VISION 5K (11:00am)

MANY HEAVENS, SHARED EARTH - INTER FAITH WALK (2:00-5:00pm)
A stroll across the suspension bridge to the Clifton Cathedral for a shared  dialogue with teachers from Islam, Christianity and Judaism. >> THE BARROW CADBURY TRUST - The trust has launched a new £750,000 funding stream  aimed at fostering greater cohesion in some of Britain's most diverse towns and  cities, with grants typically worth £30,000. The deadline for proposals is 18th  July 2008.

>> DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH USER-LED ORGANISATIONS DEVELOPMENT FUND - a second round  of the User-Led Organisations (ULOs) Development Fund is available for ULOs to  apply to deliver Action and Learning Sites up to March 2010.
