*** OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERING 2009-12 GRANTS ROUND OPEN ***
The Opportunities for Volunteering (OFV) scheme aims to enable local voluntary sector health and social care organisations in England to involve volunteers in their work. Avon and Bristol Law Centre is starting a discrimination advice line for people who want advice about problems of discrimination in accessing goods, services, facilities and housing. *** I AM ME PROJECT CELEBRATES ITS FIRST ANNIVERSARY **
East Bristol Advice & Information Centres are celebrating the anniversary of the first year of the I Am me project - a project set up for vulnerable people to have their own social, self help drop in centre. The centre is currently run by 34 members and is open Monday to Friday 10am til 4pm, aiming to provide a safe a supportive place that Disabled People can call their own and chill out.
