Voscur kicks off its Autumn Training Programme on Tues 18 Sept with a new session aimed at people new to  fundraising. Basic Fundraising will look at the principles and practice of good fundraising; types of  fundraising activities used by vcse organisations; a discussion of the skills that are needed and the people  within the organsation who need to be involved. GIVE YOUR PERSPECTIVE ON NEIGHBOURHOOD GOVERNANCE 
Bristol City Council is planning the roll out of Neighbourhood Partnerships across to cover the whole city  during 2007/08. Each Neighbourhood Partnership will cover a geographical area of two or three council wards.  Neighbourhood Partnerships are intended to give residents and local groups more opportunity to influence the  delivery of services in their local areas. Voscur would like to hear your views. --- LOCAL AREA NETWORK FUND (LNF) - QUARTET COMMUNITY FOUNDATION --- 
The LNF aims to help children (aged 0-19 years) in poverty to achieve their potential through the work of  local community and voluntary groups. Applications must address one of the following four themes: Aspirations  and experiences; Economic disadvantage; Isolation and access; and Children's voices.
Area:  West of England (Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire). 
The maximum grant is £7,000 and the closing date for the fund is 21 September 2007.
