Latest 'Quality of Life' in Bristol report is now available on the Council's website  http://www.bristol.gov.uk/qualityoflife. New this year is a chapter on happiness and well being in Bristol  showing the different experiences of residents in different parts of the city.

*** NEW REGENERATION SCHEME IN ST PAULS ***
A £300 million inner-city regeneration scheme has been unveiled for St Paul's in Bristol.

For Parents and Carers of Young People. This FREE workshop has been planned jointly by Terence Higgins  Trust-West, Full Circle Youth Project and Bristol City Council's Youth and Play Service. The Workshop aims to  raise awareness and understanding of sexually transmitted infections and HIV with regards to BME young people;  to raise awareness of NAHIP campaigns; to encourage the development of assertiveness training with young  people. CHILD SAFE PROTECTION AWARENESS SEMINAR (7:00-8:30pm)
Held at St Werburghs Centre, Horley Rd, St Werburghs, Bristol. Child-Safe is a registered international  charity involved in travel, sport, community groups and specific school programmes. Our aims are to provide  practical advice, promote the safety, welfare and pastoral care of children and young people involved in such  activities. The scheme is entirely free of charge and provides clubs with a seminar and resource pack to  enable them to put in place child protection measures. ABRAM WILSON PRESENTS 'RIDE! FERRIS WHEEL TO THE MODERN DAY DELTA' (8:00-11:00pm)
Ride! Was originally commissioned for the 2006 Jazz Festival and tells the story of a Mississippi boy's  travels from the country to the city. Recognising, rewarding and celebrating grassroots organisations doing exceptional work in tackling poverty and  advancing social justice, seven winning groups will share a cash prize of £35,000. There is no application  form. Simply describe, in 500 words or less, how your organisation makes an exceptional to tackling poverty or  advancing social justice. Supporting evidence of up to 30 pages may be attached to your application. This may  include press articles, evaluation reports or applications for funding. The ten short-listed groups will be  notified shortly thereafter and will be asked to accommodate an assessment visit.
