*** MEET THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS ***
Voscur has been asked to organise an early evening meeting to enable a selection of Bristol Charities to meet some of the Charity Commissioners who will talk about their work and how recent legislative changes may affect us. The event is planned for Tuesday 5 December and we are aiming to invite a range of charities to reflect the diversity of our membership. Unfortunately, numbers are limited and priority will be given to organisations with charitable status.

PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT CONSULTATION - LAST CHANCE TO GIVE YOUR COMMENTS

NEW DRAFT VOLUNTARY AND COMMUNITY SECTOR INVESTMENT STRATEGY
Bristol City Council has published a new draft Voluntary and Community Sector Investment Strategy. This will be submitted to the Social Developments Commission on 19th October and then to Cabinet on 9th November.  Any comments on this strategy to be brought to the attention of Commission members must be received by the this Commission by 12 noon on 18 October, and comments to be considered by Cabinet must be submitted by 12 noon on 8th November.
Go to http://www.voscur.org/news to view a letter to Voscur from Helen Ball, the Head of Policy, Performance and Improvement; the draft srategy; a report to the Social Developments Commission; a copy of the VCS Investment Strategy that was out for consultation from November 2005 - February 2006; and a summary of the responses to that consultation, which have informed the new strategy.
Voscur will co-ordinate our members' responses to the new draft strategy.  If you would like to comment on the new draft strategy, please send your comments to mailto:polly at voscur.org as soon as you can.  Alternatively, make your comments direct to the City Council by following the links in the letter from Helen Ball.
