*** LOCAL ENTERPRISE GROWTH INITIATIVE (LEGI) - HAVE YOUR SAY *** 
Bristol City Council has the opportunity to apply for new Government funding (LEGI) to release the entrepreneurial potential of Bristol's most disadvantaged communities and neighbourhoods. They are holding a series of consultation workshops in early June, to provide an opportunity to learn more about LEGI; share your views on the barriers and challenges that lead to unfulfilled potential in Bristol's disadvantaged neighbourhoods and communities; and share what projects and services work well in tackling economic problems in your community. A fantastic opportunity to meet residents from other areas, see their achievements, learn about their difficulties and how they have overcome them. 

INVOLVING MORE PEOPLE IN YOUR COMMUNITY GROUP
Monday 12 June, 10am-4pm at The Langley Centre, Gainsborough Square, Lockleaze, Bristol.
This day will help you increase the number and range of people in your organisation. It will include understanding the main barriers to, and rewards of involvement. 

MAKING REGENERATION WORK FOR EQUALITIES GROUPS
Tuesday 20 June, 2.30-4.00pm at St Paul's Learning Centre, Grosvenor Road, St Pauls, Bristol. 
This event will look at involving equalities groups (Women, Older people, Disabled people, Black & Minority Ethnic communities, Children & Young People, Lesbian, Gay & Bisexual people, and Faith communities), responding to their needs and monitoring success. 

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and priority will be given to residents engaged in Neighbourhood Renewal. CHILDREN'S SCRAPSTORE OPEN DAY (All Day)
A day for everyone (not just members). Paper, card, pots, tubs, foam, netting and much, much more will be available for £3 - £5 a bag. Warehouse entrance fee £2 for non-members. FREE art workshops will also be running on the day; the under 7s can make colourful streamers and the over 7s monster puppets (11am to 4pm on the hour every hour, book on arrival).

This is a regional event hosted by CSIP/NIMHE to brief users, carers, proffessionals, voluntary and community groups from black and minority ethnic communities which will include a briefing from the Dept. of Health speaker on the Governments proposals to amend the MH Act 1983, and an opportunity to give views on the proposed amendments as part of the Racial Equality Impact Assesment for the Bill.
